Kay’s Nail Spa gift cards are subject to our current Gift Card Terms & Policies. Please review the full terms below for important information regarding purchase, use, redemption, refunds, lost or stolen cards, promotions, and other conditions.
These Gift Card Terms & Conditions apply to physical and electronic Kay’s Nail Spa Gift Cards purchased, received, or used at Kay’s Nail Spa.
By purchasing, accepting, or using a Kay’s Nail Spa Gift Card, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
A Kay’s Nail Spa Gift Card represents the available dollar balance associated with the card.
Gift Cards do not represent or guarantee a specific service, product, technician, appointment, or future price.
Service and product prices may change over time. When a Gift Card is redeemed, its available dollar balance will be applied toward the prices in effect at the time of redemption.
Kay’s Nail Spa Gift Cards may be used toward eligible purchases at Kay’s Nail Spa and through any Kay’s Nail Spa sales channel that expressly accepts Gift Cards.
Gift Cards may generally be used toward:
Certain programs, packages, memberships, special offers, or other purchases may have separate payment eligibility rules.
A physical Gift Card has no redeemable value until it has been properly activated and value has been loaded into the Kay’s Nail Spa system.
The available balance recorded in Kay’s Nail Spa’s Gift Card system will control in the event of a discrepancy involving handwritten amounts, packaging, receipts, or other materials.
A Gift Card does not need to be used in a single visit.
If the amount of an eligible purchase is less than the available Gift Card balance, the remaining balance will stay on the original Gift Card for future use.
If the purchase amount exceeds the available Gift Card balance, the remaining amount may be paid using another payment method accepted by Kay’s Nail Spa.
No cash change will be provided for an unused Gift Card balance.
Gift Card balances may not be used toward gratuities or tips.
Gratuities must be paid separately using another accepted payment method.
Gift Cards cannot be redeemed, exchanged, or converted to cash except where required by applicable law.
Unused Gift Card balances will remain associated with the original Gift Card and will not be paid out as cash.
Gift Card balances may not be transferred, moved, combined, consolidated, or converted into another:
Balances from multiple Gift Cards will not be merged into one Gift Card.
Giving a physical or electronic Gift Card to another person as a gift does not change or transfer the underlying balance to a different card or account. The balance remains associated with the original Gift Card.
A Kay’s Nail Spa Gift Card may not be used to purchase, load, or fund another Gift Card, eGift Card, Treat Card, store credit, or other stored-value product.
All Gift Card purchases are final.
Once a Gift Card has been purchased and activated, it may not be returned, canceled, refunded, or exchanged for cash or another form of value, except where required by applicable law or where Kay’s Nail Spa determines that a verified transaction or processing error occurred.
Changing your mind, no longer needing the Gift Card, moving away, being unable to schedule a preferred appointment, or no longer wishing to receive services at Kay’s Nail Spa does not create a right to a refund.
Completed services are not refundable.
Once Gift Card value has been properly redeemed toward a completed service, that value will not be restored to the Gift Card simply because a guest later changes their mind or is dissatisfied with the service.
Concerns regarding service quality will be handled according to Kay’s Nail Spa’s applicable Repair and Service Recovery policies.
Depending on the circumstances, Kay’s Nail Spa may evaluate an issue and may offer a repair, correction, redo, or other service accommodation when appropriate.
Such an accommodation does not create a right to:
Nothing in this section limits any rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
Using a Gift Card to purchase retail merchandise does not create additional return or refund rights.
Any return, exchange, replacement, defect, or other retail merchandise matter is subject to Kay’s Nail Spa’s applicable retail policy and applicable law.
From time to time, Kay’s Nail Spa may offer promotional or bonus value in connection with a Gift Card purchase or promotion.
When promotional or bonus value is loaded directly onto a Kay’s Nail Spa Gift Card, that value becomes part of the Gift Card’s available balance.
Once loaded, the promotional or bonus value:
A promotional campaign may have a deadline for earning or receiving bonus value. However, once qualifying bonus value has actually been loaded onto the Gift Card, the end of that promotional campaign will not by itself remove the loaded value.
Kay’s Nail Spa Gift Card balances is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
Kay’s Nail Spa does not deduct dormancy, inactivity, maintenance, or service fees from Gift Card balances.
This policy applies to value that has been properly loaded onto the Gift Card, including promotional or bonus value described above.
Owning or presenting a Gift Card does not guarantee:
Normal appointment, booking, late-arrival, service, safety, and salon policies continue to apply regardless of the payment method used.
A Gift Card is a form of payment and does not function as an appointment reservation.
Please protect your physical Gift Card, Gift Card number, barcode, electronic Gift Card information, and any other information that may be used to redeem its balance.
Kay’s Nail Spa is not responsible for Gift Cards that are lost, stolen, misplaced, shared without authorization, or used by another person without the holder’s permission.
Gift Cards should be treated similarly to cash.
Replacement of a lost or stolen Gift Card is not guaranteed.
Where sufficient system records are available, Kay’s Nail Spa may, at its discretion and subject to verification, attempt to assist with identifying an unused remaining balance. Such assistance is not guaranteed and does not create a general right to a replacement Gift Card or balance transfer.
Kay’s Nail Spa may request proof of purchase, transaction information, Gift Card information, identification, or other reasonable information before providing assistance.
Physical damage to a Gift Card does not automatically create a right to a new card, refund, or balance transfer.
If a damaged Gift Card can still be identified and its valid balance can be verified in Kay’s Nail Spa’s system, Kay’s Nail Spa may attempt to assist with redemption or provide another reasonable administrative solution.
Any such assistance is subject to system capability, verification, and applicable law.
Electronic Gift Cards should be protected in the same manner as physical Gift Cards.
Purchasers are responsible for providing accurate recipient information when sending an electronic Gift Card.
Kay’s Nail Spa is not responsible for unauthorized redemption caused by a Gift Card recipient or purchaser forwarding, sharing, posting, or otherwise exposing Gift Card information to another person.
If an electronic Gift Card cannot be located, please contact Kay’s Nail Spa. Assistance may be available when the original transaction can be verified.
Kay’s Nail Spa recommends purchasing Gift Cards directly from Kay’s Nail Spa or through an authorized Kay’s Nail Spa sales channel.
Kay’s Nail Spa does not authorize independent third-party resale of its Gift Cards.
Kay’s Nail Spa does not guarantee the validity, authenticity, available balance, purchase history, or usability of a Gift Card obtained through an unauthorized reseller, online marketplace, private transaction, or other unaffiliated third party.
Kay’s Nail Spa reserves the right to decline, suspend, delay, or investigate a Gift Card transaction when there is reasonable evidence of:
A Gift Card found to have been fraudulently created, obtained, altered, duplicated, funded, or used may be deactivated or restricted to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Kay’s Nail Spa may request additional verification before honoring a Gift Card when reasonably necessary to protect the guest or the business from fraud.
Kay’s Nail Spa may correct a Gift Card balance when reliable transaction records show that an activation, loading, redemption, duplicate charge, reversal, or other processing error occurred.
For example, if the same Gift Card amount is accidentally deducted twice for a single transaction, correcting that error is a balance correction and is not considered a refund.
Likewise, Kay’s Nail Spa may correct an erroneously increased balance when reliable records establish that value was added because of a processing or system error.
Kay’s Nail Spa’s transaction records will be used to determine the valid available balance, subject to applicable law.
The available balance of a Gift Card may be checked through Kay’s Nail Spa’s Gift Card page or by contacting the salon.

Gift Card balance information is based on Kay’s Nail Spa’s available system records.
For security or fraud-prevention purposes, Kay’s Nail Spa may request Gift Card or transaction information before providing certain forms of assistance.
Kay’s Nail Spa Gift Card balances is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
However, a Gift Card can only be redeemed while Kay’s Nail Spa, or an authorized successor that has agreed to honor Kay’s Nail Spa Gift Cards, remains in operation and has the ability to accept the Gift Card.
If Kay’s Nail Spa permanently ceases business operations, Gift Card redemption may no longer be available.
Permanent closure of the business does not, under these Terms, create an automatic contractual right to a cash refund of the remaining Gift Card balance.
Any rights or treatment of outstanding Gift Card balances in connection with a permanent closure, dissolution, sale of the business, bankruptcy, insolvency, or similar event will be determined in accordance with applicable law and, where applicable, the terms of the transaction or legal proceeding involved.
If Kay’s Nail Spa is sold, reorganized, or transferred to a new owner, the treatment of outstanding Gift Cards may depend on whether the successor business agrees or is legally required to assume those Gift Card obligations.
Nothing in these Terms guarantees that an unrelated future owner will accept existing Kay’s Nail Spa Gift Cards unless the applicable transaction, agreement, or law provides otherwise.
Gift Cards are intended for legitimate purchases of eligible Kay’s Nail Spa services and merchandise.
Gift Cards may not be used for unlawful activity, fraudulent transactions, unauthorized resale schemes, money-transfer arrangements, or any purpose intended to circumvent these Terms & Conditions.
Kay’s Nail Spa may refuse a transaction that reasonably appears to involve prohibited activity.
Gift Card balances do not earn interest.
Owning a Gift Card does not create:
Kay’s Nail Spa may update these Gift Card Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, operations, fraud-prevention practices, or the Gift Card program.

Any update will be applied subject to applicable law.
Kay’s Nail Spa will not use an update to retroactively remove a valid existing Gift Card balance or impose an expiration date or fee where doing so would violate applicable law.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the State of Maryland.
If any provision of these Terms conflicts with applicable law, applicable law will control to the extent of the conflict.
If one provision is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
